SUMMERTIME 2008

I have had a lot of fun this summer!

I just returned from Math Camp!  I attended a week long camp at Appalachian State University.  It was so much fun!  I cannot wait to go back next year!  I learned a lot about geometry, algebra and probability.

The camp was taught by App State Math Professors and was held in the Math Department at Walker Hall.  There were 120 kids from all over that attended.

While in Boone, my mom and I went to Grandfather Mountain.  It was pretty cool to be so high on the mountain looking down on miles and miles of trees.

My parents bought me a new mountain bike.  A couple of weeks ago, I went camping with my grandparents at James Island Camp Ground in Charleston, South Carolina.  While there I rode 81 miles on my bike.  My dad and I also rode bikes at several trails in our area.  I'm thinking of trying Mountain Bike Racing this fall.

I have also been training to do a triathlon.  There is one near me that requires a 200 yard swim, 6.2 mile bike & 1.2 mile run.  I'm really excited about that.  Unfortunately, I didn't have a lot of time to train properly, so I'll will have to keep my eyes open for the next one.

I am thinking of running track for my school.  I will start training hard for that soon.  In the meantime, my aunt coaches tennis for the high school and I am going to attend one of her tennis clinics this weekend.

NEWS

2008 has been very interesting for me.  I raced a couple of races and missed several because of an elbow injury.  While I was out with my injury, I had

a lot of time to think.  Motocross consumes

a lot of time and

doesn't leave much

time for anything else.

I have talked to my parents and decided

that I want to take a break from Motocross.  My mom always taught me to never pass up
an opportunity and with the commitment that racing requires, there

was never any extra

time to try another opportunity.  So, we

have decided to sell

all of my gear I have 3 dirtbikes and tons

of gear.  Please look

at CraigsList.com for

further information.
